Immortalized in the film, Bronx Tale, the Belmont section of the Bronx still exists and is renowned as a Little Italy neighborhood centered upon Arthur Avenue. The Italian National Parish of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church has long been the epicenter of the neighborhood and also currently remains opened. The Arthur Avenue business district is the most highly concentrated batch of Italian American businesses anywhere in New York with numerous bakeries, fish markets, meat markets and restaurants. There are not many Italian Americans living in the neighborhood anymore, having given way to Albanians and Dominicans, but the Italians from all over return there to shop.
