Gowanus

Gowanus is a neighborhood in the northwestern portion of the New York City borough of Brooklyn. Gowanus is bounded by Wyckoff Street on the north, Fourth Avenue on the east, the Gowanus Expressway to the south, and Bond Street to the west. St Agnes RC Church, Our Lady of Peace and St. Mary Star of the sea are some of the catholic churches found in Gowanus. The Giglio Italian Feast is an outdoor celebration of Italian culture that is also held in Gowanus annually.
