Marine Park
At a certain point in the 20th century the neighborhood was predominantly Italian with a relatively large population of Irish and Jewish families. The neighborhood has Italian restaurants and bakeries and borders Old Mil Basin and East Flatbush, which were Italian enclaves with Italians being the most predominant ethnicity by a large proportion. Amongst many Italian American businesses, two notable businesses are Michael’s of Brooklyn and Torregrossa Funeral Home.
