Greenwich Village

Greenwich Village, affectionately ‘the Village’, encompasses the area surrounding New York University and The West Village, bordered on the east by Broadway, on the north by 14th Street, and on the south by Houston Street. It has hosted a large quantity of Italians and Italo-Americans throughout the years. Our Lady of Pompeii, found on Carmine St, is a beautiful remnant of the historically Italian area, with Mass in Italian still held every Sunday. Also standing tall is St Anthony of Pauda on Sullivan St. Both churches celebrate their respective saints in June.
