South Hartford

South Hartford is a town in Hartford County, Connecticut, United States. It is located north of Wethersfield, northeast of Newington and west of Addison. South Hartford has hosted a lot of Italian Americans and the ethnic quality is especially noticeable on Franklin Avenue where private houses and store signs proclaim; ‘Mariella’s Décor’, ‘Casa de Bomdidiere’ and many others. Catholic churches in South Hartford include; St. Patrick- St. Anthony Roman Catholic church, St. Peter Roman Catholic Church, Cathedral of St. Joseph and Our lady of Sorrows. Festa Italiana, the Franklin avenue festival is an annual Italian feast held in South Hartford.
