Country Club

Country Club- is a small waterfront neighborhood near the Throgs Neck peninsula in the Northeast Bronx. Country Club has been an Italian enclave since the mid 1900’s and is a very tight-knit community of mostly Italian families. Layton avenue is the main commercial area of the neighborhood. Most businesses are Italian owned. Country club is one of New York’s most ethnically Italian enclaves still.
