Bath Beach

Cornered between Gravesend, Coney Island, Dyker Heights and Bensonhurst is an old Italian neighborhood. Bath Beach had about a mile and a half of commercial businesses along three main avenues that stretched from one side of the neighborhood to the other side. Most of the businesses which lined Benson, Bath, and Cropsey Avenues were all Italian during the mid-to-late 1900’s. The Italian National Parishes in Bath Beach are Most Precious Blood Church and St. Francis Cabrini church, both of which are still open.
