Church of the Holy Family
The Church of the Holy Family, or as it was originally named, La Chiesa Della Sacra Famiglia, was founded in 1909 for the primarily Sicilian residents of the neighborhood then known as “Little Sicily” in Detroit. The still existing parish relies on the loyal pilgrimage of the majority of its parishioners to downtown Detroit for services, which include both Italian and Latin masses. The church also acts as a host site for numerous Metro Detroit Italian/Sicilian clubs and societies.
