Carroll Gardens

Carroll Gardens is a neighborhood in the northwestern portion of New York City. It is bounded by Degraw and Warren Streets to the north, Hoyt and Smith Streets to the east, Gowanus Expressway to the south and interstate 278 to the west. Known for its Italian-American roots, Brooklyn’s Carroll-Gardens neighborhood shows its heritage in the many traditional Italian cafes and shops on Court and Smith streets. Catholic churches in Carroll Gardens include; Sacred Hearts of Jesus and Mary & St. Stephen RC church, St. Mary Star of the Sea and St. Paul Church just to mention a few. The feast of Our Lady of Sorrows is one of the Italian festivals held in Carroll Gardens.
